Advocacy AI Inc. today announced it has emerged from stealth with $3.5 million in seed funding led by Relentless Venture Fund, with participation from Relativity Labs (the innovation arm of Relativity), Fenwick & West LLP, and a group of prominent legal scholars and litigation firm partners.

The company has built what it describes as the first context-centric AI workspace designed specifically for litigation — a platform that carries case facts, strategy, and memory from complaint through trial.

"Every AI tool in legal tech today was built for transactional work and repurposed for litigation. Litigators deserve something built from scratch — something that understands the adversarial, evolving nature of their work."

— Téo Doremus, CEO and Co-Founder

The Context Gap

Most legal AI platforms treat documents as isolated inputs. Advocacy's architecture is built around what the company calls "case memory" — a persistent, evolving intelligence layer that connects every document, deposition, motion, and piece of evidence to the broader narrative of a case.

This means the AI doesn't start from scratch with each task. It carries forward the full context of the matter, enabling outputs that reflect the depth and specificity litigators require.

"What impressed us about Advocacy is that they didn't start with the technology and look for a use case. They started with the workflow — how litigators actually think, argue, and build cases — and engineered the platform around that reality."

— Damir Becirovic, Partner at Relentless

Expanding the Memory Layer

Advocacy's platform includes several integrated tools: Dossier (AI-powered document storage), Associate (AI chat assistant with case context), an AI-native editor, and research capabilities — all sharing a single contextual universe per matter.

The company has begun working with litigation teams at boutique and mid-size firms, with early adopters reporting that the platform's ability to match evidence across formats — including voice memos, chat threads, and traditional documents — has opened new approaches to discovery and case preparation.
